What I'm thankful for, by AmeriDan.

To my few, yet very dear regular readers... I wish you a Happy Thanksgiving.
You and anyone else who stumbles across this blog are the first thing I'm
thankful for. I hope that your day is filled with family, friends, and lot's of
  food.

I have to work tomorrow, and then do some work on one of my cars when
I get home. But please don't cue the violins and shed tears for me. You
see, that's the second thing I'm thankful for.

I have a job; a good one, working (indirectly) for Veterans. I also have the
skills and ability to do repairs on machinery. At work, I'll be around older
equipment that is well maintained, and controlled by new electronics.
While I serve a support role, I also have a vast network of support should
  the need arise.

While I'm at home, I'll be in the garage of a house that provides very
comfortable shelter to me. My Home. If Al Gore is reading this, I also have
two vechicles. One older, one newer. For no other reason than I want
both a car and truck. My carbon footprint is still but a wee infant's
compared to your jet driven global warming tour. Also, neither one is
  a four cylinder, or a....

Sorry folks, almost went off on a rant.

Back to being thankful- I'm also thankful that I can use my blog to throw
in political points even in a nonpolitical post.

Now for my Family and Friends. I can't include everbody in this, so I'll
just use two people as an example. Friday, AmeriSis will drive 80 miles
one way to bring me a big Thanksgiving dinner at work. The Ameri-
nieces will also come along just to see their Uncle AmeriDan at work.
I'll also get hugs out of the deal. The dinner will be all the trimmings,
and the turkey and ham will be more then enough to last through
Sunday. Sandwich wise. When my supply is running short on Sunday,
AmeriPaul will be either at the door or on the phone saying "take this,
we're through". That's if he's not there on Saturday or Friday, or even
  Thursday night.

It's good to be AmeriDan, and I'm very thankful for that.

Once again, thank you for reading Life As I Know It. If you see this
Wednesday evening and want a post about someone or something that
you are thankful for. Give me the details in comments or an email at
