Believe it or not, AmeriDan is not my real name. I may write about things that happen in my life, to maintain a balance between the political stuff... but I don't give out too much. Have to keep the crazies away. Today I will:
I have ten (or more) cats, and no pets. Sound crazy? I'm sure it does, but when I moved here.....there they where. All over the place. Now, I've admitted to being an idiot, but never to being a complete idiot. So I correctly guessed that the people who lived here before fed them. There was no way in the world that I was going to feed that many cats. No way. No how. Not gonna happen. Plus my neighbor informed me that they're fed by many different people around the area. They get around. Problem solved, I'll just cut off their feed supply from this house. Because I would never, ever go out of my way to feed them.
Because they don't like me. They hiss, or run away in terror. They hate me. No way would I ever appease these animals.
So, as I was breaking up the chicken tenders (their favorite) into bite size
pieces ,and refilling the water bowl. A funny thing happened. One of the stray cats came to me and wanted to be petted. She needed me to pet her. So I gave her a pat on the head, and a piece of chicken.
The point of this post is that.... some wild animals can be won over. Some can't. We can live our lives tossing out fried chicken, and hoping they become our friends, while they continue to hiss at us. Sometimes it works. Give a little, get a little.
But if one of those cat's ever hijacks an airplane and flies it into a building....
No more chicken for the others. They may look different, they may have different names. But they all want the same thing. Food. I like to call the one who first came to me... AmeriFluffy.
I don't have a baby in my house, but if I did.... and cat's came in and killed him or her. I won't search out the "root problem". I'd kill every cat I see.
Please note that no cat's were harmed during this post. AmeriFluffy says hello. She also say's "hissss". I think she's a Democrat.
