I wasn't going to post again until tomorrow, due to a heavy work schedule. But one of my readers needs me. MadelinesDad had a bad sportsfan
weekend. Sorry about that M'sDad. Just remember, there's always next week.
At any rate, M'sDad request that I yank my resident troll out of lurker status. He need's to slap him around in my comments section for awhile. Not an easy thing to do, given the last beating M'sDad gave him. See my "Not my Republican Party" post comments. I'm sure mcquaidla is still nursing his wounds, but I'll try. If it work's, have fun M'sDad, and box his ears a few times for me. Just leave the windows open to air out the troll stink.
First things first though. I noticed that I've already used a word my troll may not understand. Him being a liberal and all. Never fear, Mr. Webster's here:
work (wurk) n. 1. physical or mental effort
exerted to do or make something:
purposeful activity: labor: toil
2. employment at a job or in a position
Now that that's cleared up. Here's the wind up to the question:
The Democatic party had a good ole fashion whoop it up time at the memorial service of a United States Congressman. Paul Wellstone. I've never seen happier people in my life. Mr. Wellstone was killed in a tragic airplane crash.
The Democratic party will suffer on the day that bin Laden is offically pronounced dead. There will be no laughter, no music, no high fives- as there was at the Wellstone service. The Dims have bet everything on the "why haven't we killed bin Laden?" issue. It is their specific proposal for how they will fight the war on terror. Eliminate Osama bin Laden. I don't recall anything else that is "specific". Stonger, tougher, smarter does not count. It will be a sad day for the Dims when the bin Laden card is taken off the table.
They will be left with "Osama means nothing" We could care less.
And last but not least: Our enemies, who wish us death or worse (and yes, there is worse) have increasingly used your parties rhetoric in their PR campaign to win the hearts and minds of the world. It's working very well for them.
And here's the pitch:
What does this say about the state of the present day Democratic party?

NOTES:
1. I have a reader who I suspect is a Democrat. A rare one. Very rational and well informed. You've posted good comments here, You're always welcome. But please stay out of the comments in this thread (and this thread only) . If what's his name shows up... it could get ugly.
2. MadelinesDad has a great blog. Where are my keys? Ranked in the top ten at townhall. It's on my blogroll. Check it out.
UPDATE: (10/9/06 7:30pm)
1. I added the line ["Osama means nothing". We could care less.]
2. M'sDad's "Where are my key's" is now ranked as the #1 blog at
Townhall. I couldn't agree more.
